When? Where? Why?

Family Coffee is a ministry of Family of God Church. You are invited to come in, hang out, drink coffee, surf the net, or just talk to Pastor Rus.

We are hoping to be open by the middle of October, if not earlier. We will be open from 10:AM to 1:PM Mon-Thurs with evening hours on Friday (TBA). We are located at 1315 Viscaya Pkwy in the Family of God Church.

A note about our coffee. Yes it is good, top quality good. And yes, it is free (though donations will go toward keeping the java flowing). Most important though it will be Fair Trade coffee. What does that mean? Most folks don't realize that even though coffee is an expensive item, the farmers who grow it rarely make a living wage off of their effort. The profits all go to the middle men and big business. So, we buy our coffee through a collective of growers organized by Lutheran World Relief. The farmers in turn make a decent return on their investment of time and money and are able to lift their families and communities out of poverty. So when you drink a cup of Joe with us, you aren't just getting your caffeine fix, you're saving the world (or at least a little part of it).
